June - September
In the beginning of June I knew I wanted to go abroad for my next internship. I started
looking for companies that would suit my study. There was one company’s website that really appealed to me: Carlo Schembri. I immediately send an e-mail and said that if it was necessary for them to meet me first I would hop on the next plane and would come. So a few months later in September I went to Malta to meet the company. They were enthusiastic and I immediately felt at my place. At the end of the working day I had found my internship. The rest of the weekend I went to see a little of Malta before going back home. Because I have been in Malta already for the little trip to meet the company, it was easier to pack my bags and fix things for my stay.

I prepared for Malta by packing just a lot of stuff. I asked a girl who has lived in Malta for her internship for packing tips. She told me that there weren’t all shampoo brands and that the wall outlet isn’t European here. I also made sure I had my exam assignment on time and everything else I needed for the internship. Luckily Said Laouaji helped me a lot. A few weeks before I left I contacted my internship to let them know again at what date and time I would start the internship. I also kept contact with my boss over e-mail.
